Everyone knows that vitamins and minerals are essential for our body to function. Deficiencies in any of these vital nutrients can seriously harm your body or even lead to death.
As the body is not able to produce nearly all of the vitamins, minerals and enzymes needed, ideally you should provide theses nutrient to you body through a diet consisting of a wide variety of healthy foods.
It seems to be obvious that you should take daily vitamin supplements to maintain your health when you are not eating as healthy as recommended – you might be eating fast foods and sweats, drink pop and sometimes alcohol, the ‘bad’ stuff that you should avoid (unfortunately I am guilty of some of these too). But even if you are eating healthy you should consider taking daily vitamins.
Why would you need daily vitamin supplements when you are eating healthy you might ask now. Studies have shown that the foods produced today don’t have nearly as much nutrients as the same foods had 50 years ago. The nutritional value of the foods has decreased immensely and it is nearly impossible to eat all the vegetables and fruits needed daily.

Now that you know that you are way better off when you take a vitamin supplement daily, you just need to find out what kind of supplement to buy. Studies have shown that our body is more receptive for natural vitamins, minerals and enzymes. This is the first thing that you have to look out for. Organically grown supplements provide a lot more nutrients then the ones that have been grown using chemical substances, which seems to be obvious. If you can find an organically grown vitamin supplement, then this would be the one to go with, if none is available take at least a natural supplement.
